Our sales expectations\nfor the 2024 fiscal year were therefore not achieved. Average selling prices continued to fall in some segments. This was offset in some\ncases by volume growth despite continued weak demand due to\nthe economic situation.<br><\/br>\n\nThe performance of the six operating segments of the PCC Group varied. While the Chlorine &amp; Derivatives segment recorded the largest\nnominal year-on-year decline in revenues, the Surfactants &amp; Derivatives,\nSilicon &amp; Derivatives and Logistics segments were each\nable to increase their sales. The Logistics segment recorded the\nlargest increase in revenues. The Surfactants &amp; Derivatives segment was the main sales driver in the Group. Volume growth and market share gains in some applications supported this development. The Chlorine &amp; Derivatives segment again made the largest contribution to earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) in fiscal 2024, followed by the Logistics, Surfactants &amp; Derivatives and Polyols &amp; Derivatives segments. The only segment with a negative contribution was Silicon &amp; Derivatives, although it should be emphasized that this segment\u2019s EBITDA improved by around 23 % compared to the previous year. Nevertheless, this negative contribution pushed the consolidated net result into the red in the mid-double-digit million euro range.
